Extension Impact

A new Extension program, Well Water Education, helps Maryland residents ensure that their drinking water from wells meets water safety standards.  The program started in Cecil County and has now expanded to Kent and Montgomery Counties.  Participants learn about proper well maintenance guidelines and can have their well water tested for biological contaminants, pH levels, nitrates, arsenic, and total dissolved solids.
