Welcome to the University of Maryland Extension of Dorchester County!
Our office is located in Cambridge, Dorchester's county seat, situated along the mighty Choptank River. We are part of a statewide, non-formal education system within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the University of Maryland, College Park. This partnership also includes support from the USDA as well as the county government. The Dorchester County UME faculty and staff provide unbiased, research-based education and solutions to the community with a broad range of outreach through workshops, seminars, classes, clinics, newsletters, consultations, and media efforts within the program areas of Agriculture and Food Systems, Environment and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, and 4-H Youth Development.
