Montgomery County Agricultural Fair
Volunteer at the Fair!
The following two PDF Forms can be used to register to volunteer with 4-H before and during the Montgomery County Fair.
- Please fill the appropriate form out completely
- Perform a "Save As" and add your name to the name of the file
- Close the form, but remember where on your computer you saved it.
- Attach the form to an email addressed to fendrick@umd.edu . You may want to ask for a "Delivery Receipt" or a "read Receipt" to insure that your form is received.
- Alternatively, you can print your form and mail or deliver it to the Montgomery County 4-H Office at 18410 Muncaster Road, Derwood MD 20855.
Important Dates:
June 1 - You must be enrolled in a Montgomery County 4-H Program by this date to exhibit a project in a 4-H Department at the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair.
July 10 - Animal entries are due online or at the Fair Office.
July 17 - Fair Workday. First Animal Exhibitor Orientation.
July 20 - Late animal entries accepted until this date. A late fee will be assessed
July 20 - Indoor entries are due online or at the Fair Office. No entries accepted after this date
July 20 - Club Parade entry forms and scripts ar due to the 4-H Office. No late entries accepted.
July 24 - Fair Workday. Second Animal Exhibitor Orientation.
July 31 - Fair Workday. Third Animal Exhibitor Orientation.
August 3 - Honor Guard practice at the fairgrounds
August 7 - Fair Workday. Last Animal Exhibitor Orientation. Last day to purchase discounted 4-H fair passes.
August 9 - Indoor Club exhibits accepted. See fair catalog for list of divisions.
August 11 - Non-perishable Indoor 4-H exhibits accepted. See fair catalog for list of divisions.
August 14 - Perishable Indoor 4-H Exhibits accepted. See fair catalog for list of divisions.
August 15 - 4-H Parade and Cake Auction.
August 22 - All entries released, unless otherwise specified in the fair catalog (some entries become the property of the fair).
