Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program - Montgomery County

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is a free program designated to help limited-income families acquire skills necessary to maintain nutritionally sound diets.

You can learn about nutrition individually or in small groups.  We offer classes in English and Spanish.  Most participants complete the EFNEP curriculum in fewer than 12 months.

  • Plan and prepare quick meals
  • Choose nutritious snacks for children
  • Prepare new foods and recipes
  • Use safe food handling techniques
  • Compare prices and save on food bills
