Spring Conference

Spring Conference – February 22, 2020

 

This year our conference focuses on helping you create and maintain sustainable gardens to enjoy now and for years to come.  This day-long event is open to the public and offers multiple presentations by Master Gardeners.  Your registration includes a continental breakfast, a delicious bag lunch, raffle prizes, networking with other gardeners, and answers to your gardening questions during our Ask the Master Gardeners session. 

Presentation topics include:

  • Deer and Your Landscape
  • Invasives­­­­­­­­­­­­­—How to ID, Control, Eliminate, and Replace
  • Growing and Using Edible Flowers
  • Gardening with Natives and Guilt-Free Non-Natives
  • Vegetable Gardens of the Future
  • Benefits of Salvias in Your Garden
  • Caring for Your Turf Within Montgomery County Guideline
  • Wildlife Friendly Gardens­­—From Balconies to Large Gardens
  • Make (and Take Home) a Container Herb Garden (*There is a $15 materials fee in addition to the registration fee for this program.  Registration is limited to 20 participants.)

 

In addition, we will have Lunch & Learn presentations.  All presentations include helpful handouts and reference materials.
