Welcome to the University of Maryland Extension of Sample County!

Welcome to the University of Maryland Extension (UME) of Sample County! We are part of a statewide, non-formal education system within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. This partnership also includes support from USDA as well as the county government.

UME Sample County faculty and staff are here to provide research-based solutions for your success with a broad range of outreach through workshops, seminars, classes, clinics, newsletters, consultations, and media relations in the areas of agriculture and food, the environment, home horticulture, financial education, stress management, and 4-H Youth Development, to name a few.
