Below you will find a list of food resources for the state of Maryland, including emergency help, government resources, and county resources to locate local food pantries.

If you are experiencing food insecurity, there is help.
  • You do NOT need SNAP to get food from food pantries or food distribution events.
  • Check before attending:
    - Hours and day of the week
    - Other requirements such as providing zip code or bringing identification
  • Check Facebook or call prior to attending
  • If you can’t leave home, ask if they offer delivery.
  • Hours and rules can change — if you have access, look online for their website, Instagram, or Facebook for announcements. You can also call first, if possible.
  • Call ahead to find out if your local pantry offers other basic supplies:
    • Soap, toothpaste, toilet paper
    • Baby supplies (diapers, wipes, formula)
    • Pet food

  • Catonsville Emergency Assistance - by appointment, for Catonsville residents, supplemental groceries
  • Holy Nativity Food Pantry - open Tuesdays 3-5 pm, perishable and non-perishable food, paper products, clothes
  • South West Emergency Services - open MWF 9 am to 11:30 am, perishable and non-perishable food, personal care items
  • Baltimore North Cluster Food Bank - 19401 Midddletown Road, Parkton, MD 21120  Monday and Saturday - 10 am-12 noon; Wednesday - 5-7 pm *NOTE* no web presence
  • Hereford Food Bank - Serving Sparks, Freeland, Upperco, White Hall, and Butler only  Tuesday & Thursday - 1-3 pm; Saturday - 9-11:30 am

School Meal Resources

Families can submit free and reduced price meal forms at any point during the school year if their status has changed. Here is a link to income eligibility.

Maryland Hunger Solutions has links to all district's forms here. The forms should be on the school district food and nutrition website, or they can also call the school and ask how to access a paper form.
