Welcome to University of Maryland Extension of Talbot County

Welcome to the University of Maryland Extension (UME) of Talbot County! We are part of a statewide, non-formal education system within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. This partnership also includes support from USDA as well as the county government.

UME Talbot County faculty and staff are here to provide research-based solutions for your success with a broad range of outreach through workshops, seminars, classes, clinics, newsletters, consultations, and media relations in the areas of agriculture and food, the environment, home horticulture, financial education, stress management, and 4-H Youth Development, to name a few. Explore our program areas below, and learn how you can get involved with UME and the community. Or visit the main UME page to access more broadscale resources.
