Nicole Zimmerman

Nicole Zimmerman is our new Woodland Stewardship Educator & Logger Education Coordinator with statewide duties. Nicole graduated from University of Maryland with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Technology and a minor in Soil Science where she was also a member of the UMD Soil Judging Team. Before joining UME she worked as a Natural Resource Specialist with the Natural Resource Conservation Service, a volunteer with the Potomac Riverkeepers, and as a counselor at Camp Manidokan. Nicole enjoys kayaking, crocheting, and traveling anywhere she can. She is excited to step into this role where she will be addressing the needs of Forest Product Operators and Forest Landowners. She will work to provide effective forest conservation and stewardship education to those who can input efforts toward improving and sustaining forest ecology.
