The Agricultural History Farm Park
The Extension Office for Montgomery County is located in Derwood, Maryland, on the Magruder‑Bussard farmstead at the 455‑acre Agricultural History Farm Park. The park is managed by Montgomery Parks and shares the history of local farming through a historic farmhouse, barn, and other preserved agricultural buildings.
More information about the park is available on the Montgomery Parks website
The park also hosts several annual events, including the Harvest Days celebration in October. Visitors are welcome to explore the outdoor grounds, and many events are supported by volunteers from the Friends of the Agricultural History Farm Park.
You can learn more about volunteer opportunities and upcoming activities on the Friends Website
