4-H Youth Development in Wicomico County

4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization, empowering young people to lead, learn, and serve. The University of Maryland Extension’s 4-H program helps youth ages 5-18 reach their fullest potential through research-backed, hands-on learning experiences that build life skills, leadership, confidence, and meaningful connections to their communities.

Maryland 4-H programs vary by county and may be offered through clubs, camps, after-school programs, fairs, school partnerships, and community organizations. In Wicomico County, 4-H clubs are available for youth ages 8-18, as well as Clover Clubs for children ages 5-7. 4-H'ers learn life skills through a variety of 4-H project areas including shooting sports, animal science, nutrition, home arts, aerospace, agriscience, robotics, photography, woodworking, and more. Wicomico Extension 4-H Educator

Kimber Sarver, PhD | ksarver@umd.edu | (301) 226-7720

Dr. Sarver earned her Master of Science in Family, Youth and Community Sciences from the University of Florida. She also earned her PhD in Youth Development and Family Sciences from the University of Florida. Dr. Sarver brings extensive experience as a 4-H Manager and Educator to the University of Maryland.
