The Woodland Stewardship Education program offers three online courses.

The Woods in Your Backyard Online Course

Based on the successful "The Woods in Your Backyard" guide and related content, the non-credit online course provides owners or managers of small properties (1-10 acres) in the mid-Atlantic area with techniques and resources to create, enhance, and manage woodland habitat for wildlife, recreation, and aesthetics. The course runs ten weeks and is offered twice a year (spring and fall).

General Forestry Course

The non-credit General Forestry Course is an online, self-directed course designed for individuals wishing to increase their understanding of forests and forest management. Specifically, the General Forestry Course targets Maryland forest landowners and other citizens with an interest in the principles and practices of forestry. The course runs three months and is offered in the fall.

Wildlife Management Online Course

The non-credit Wildlife Management online course is designed for individuals wishing to increase their understanding of wildlife, wildlife management and wildlife habitats. The Wildlife Management Online Course targets Maryland landowners and other citizens with an interest in the principles and practices of wildlife management.
