The LEAD Maryland Foundation, together with the University of Maryland Extension are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for Class XIV of the highly valued LEAD Maryland Fellowship Program. People who are interested in becoming part of this prestigious leadership development program are encouraged to submit their applications by October 1, 2025. Designed for emerging leaders in Maryland’s agricultural, natural resources, and rural communities, the LEAD Maryland Fellowship Program offers a transformative experience aimed at equipping participants with the skills and insights necessary to tackle the complex challenges facing these sectors.
"This program is a cornerstone of leadership development in our state," said Susan Harrison, executive director of the LEAD Maryland Foundation. "Participants not only gain invaluable knowledge and skills but also become part of a dynamic network of innovative and inspiring leaders committed to solving problems and serving others.”
Selected applicants, called Class XIV Fellows, will embark on a comprehensive educational journey throughout 2026-27, participating in a series of multi-day seminars, that include experiential and active learning opportunities. Fellows will engage with industry experts, policymakers, and community leaders to deepen their understanding of Maryland’s unique challenges and opportunities, and to gain skills and confidence to grow as servant leaders. Fellows also complete a 10 to 12-day study tour.
